President Joe Biden has seen a steady decline in his poll numbers since taking office, and the latest polling shows they are worse than ever.
A newly released CNN/SSRS poll found that 58% of Americans disapprove of the job Biden is doing, a new high for the incumbent president and much higher than previous president’s normally experienced.
“Biden’s approval rating has now fallen below 40% on the RealClearPolitics average,” said Virginia state Delegate Nick Freitas. “Experts are left wondering: Who exactly are the 39% who still think he is doing a good job?”
The CNN/SSRS poll also found that 57% of Americans called Biden’s first year in office “a failure.” Last summer 94% of Democrats approved of Biden’s work. That number has now dropped to 83%.
Rasmussen released similar polling last month which showed Americans have not been impressed with Biden’s first year in office.
Rasmussen released polling in January that reported only 12% of voters think Biden was “very successful” in his first term.
“President Joe Biden’s first year in office has been a failure, according to a majority of voters who say the Democrat has left the country more divided than when he was inaugurated,” Rasmussen said. “A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that just 12% of Likely U.S. voters rate Biden’s first year in office Very Successful, while another 26% say his first year as president has been Somewhat Successful,” Rasmussen said. “Ten percent (10%) believe Biden has been Somewhat Unsuccessful during his first year in office, while 50% rate his first year Very Unsuccessful.”
