According to an autopsy report released by Washington’s chief medical examiner on Monday, the U.S. Capitol Hill police officer that died during the January 6th riot died from natural causes.
Brian Sicknick, age 42, suffered two strokes at the base of the brain stem which was caused by a blood clot. The case was “natural” and was said to have been caused by “acute brainstem and cerebellar infarcts due to acute basilar artery thrombosis.”
Capitol Police reported that Sicknick returned to his office following the riot and collapsed. He died at a hospital roughly eight hours later.
