CBP Requests Airplanes To Fly Migrants To Northern States For Processing

A rapid spike in the number of families and children crossing the Southwest border into Texas in the last 24 hours is causing the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency to request airplanes to transport undocumented immigrants to northern states near the Canadian Border.

This, per a report in the Washington Post sourcing two Department of Homeland Security officials as well as an email reviewed by the paper.

Friday morning, 1,000 members unaccompanied children as well as family members were reported to have crossed the Rio Grande. Border officials say they still have 1,000 members that they have been unable to process since last night.
