Newly released polling shows that the vast majority of Americans say the economy has worsened under President Joe Biden.
Rasmussen Reports released the polling data, which adds that many think Democrats are to blame.
“By more than a 3-to-1 margin, voters believe the U.S. economy has gotten worse since President Joe Biden took office, and a majority think either he or his Democratic allies in Congress are mostly to blame,” Rasmussen said.
The poll found only 19% say the economy has improved under Biden.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 62% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the economy has gotten worse since Biden became president, which is more than three times the 19% who think the economy has gotten better under Biden,” Rasmussen said.
The latest inflation data has shown the fastest rise in inflation in nearly four decades. Mortgage rates have risen above 5 percent, and the Federal Reserve has announced a series of interest rate hikes to address the inflation. Several economic experts have issued the same warning that prices will continue to rise.
“[The American people] are already dealing with tons of inflation because of really poor policy choices, again, from team Biden but also the Federal Reserve,” Trish Regan said on a recent podcast. “They are liable in all of this as well because they have done a horrible job in managing this economy…”
