At least 8 people were reportedly killed in a shooting at an Indianapolis FedEx facility on Thursday night.
Indianapolis police responded to a call that referenced shots fired near the FedEx facility. Officers were said to arrive at an “active shooter incident” at that location. Police officials stated that “the shooter has taken his own life” at the scene.

According to a statement by police officials, 8 people were pronounced dead at the scene, with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Multiple others were injured and transported to hospitals.
Police stated the investigation is underway, with eyewitnesses at the scene being interviewed. Eyewitnesses that talked to the press said the shooter exited his vehicle, picked up a weapon from the trunk of his car, then began to shoot at drivers before fleeing the scene.
