A teenager who grew famous from creating a Twitter account to keep track of Elon Musk’s whereabouts has a new target that could influence the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Jack Sweeney, the teen in question, has created a new Twitter account called “Russian Oligarch Jets.” The account tracks many of Russia’s wealthiest, who have reportedly taken to their “superyachts” and jets amidst the invasion and ensuing sanctions.

The account is particularly important given the new sanctions from the Biden administration, many of which are personally targeting wealthy Russians or at the very least hitting their fortunes hard through the hurting economy.
If you want to help with this project feed data to @ADSBexchange all this data is crowdsourced, more ADS-B feeders are always needed especially in these remote places and other countries where these Oligarchs fly.

Russia’s stock market and currency tumbled after the Russian invasion and sanctions, likely tanking the portfolios of many of Russia’s wealthiest residents.

CNBC reports that many of Russia’s wealthiest have fled to nearby nations via their “superyachts.” From CNBC:
Data reviewed by CNBC from Marine Traffic shows that at least four massive yachts owned by Russian business leaders have been moving toward Montenegro and the Maldives since a wide array of sanctions were announced in recent days by leaders from around the world, including the U.S. Treasury targeting Russia’s central bank. The Maldives doesn’t have an extradition treaty with the U.S., according to Nomad Capitalist.
Now, the rich Russians have a teenage Twitter warrior to worry about.
