On Monday, European Union diplomats said they intended to recommend that restrictions on American tourists traveling from the U.S. to Europe be reinstated, due to the rising infection levels in the U.S. (Story continues below.)
In June, the EU lifted restriction so that U.S. travelers could head to Europe for the busy (and economically critical) summer tourist season.

But, according to the Associated Press, diplomats say they could issue the new guidance as early as this week.
Each individual country in the European Union is allowed to make its own rules so there is currently no unified approach.
