Fauci Hints At Vaccine Mandate For Domestic Flights

Unvaccinated Americans may soon not be able to fly on domestic flights. That is, if Dr. Fauci gets his way.

Top U.S. health official Dr. Anthony Fauci said he would support a vaccine mandate for anyone that wants to go on domestic flights.

As Fauci explained, such a mandate is not really about people infecting others on board. Rather, it’s just a way to get people to take the vaccine.

In an interview with ABC, Fauci said he would support the mandate because it would push more people to get the vaccine.

“It’s just another method to spur them to get vaccinated. Namely, you can’t get on the plane unless you’re vaccinated,” he said.

“Anything that could get people more vaccinated would be welcome,” said Dr. Fauci about the vaccine mandates for domestic flights.

Earlier, President Joe Biden said that he does not think that the mandate is necessary – for now.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg also said that he does not think banning unvaccinated people from domestic flights is necessary.
