A former member of the Planned Parenthood organization is exposing dark secrets of what goes on behind the scenes at the organization.
Mayra Rodriguez, who worked at Planned Parenthood for well over a decade, told the Christian Post about its unsafe and aggressive tactics to pressure women into abortions. and targeting of immigrants.
“For 16 years, I devoted my life to Planned Parenthood,” she said. “As an undocumented immigrant, Planned Parenthood opened the doors to the American dream. … They hired me knowing I was undocumented.”
She said the group pressures immigrants to get abortions and specifically goes after that community.
“So when you have that, what do women think?” she said. “’Oh, I cannot have a child because I might get deported, and I could get separated from my other three kids.’ … As an immigrant, I can tell you it is the worst feeling ever to know that you may have to leave this country.”
The breaking news comes as the Supreme Court will revisit Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision that legalized abortion in the U.S.
The case, Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, deals with a challenge to a new Mississippi law banning abortions after 15 weeks. The previous law banned abortions at 22 weeks.
“It is well past time for the Court to revisit the wisdom of the viability bright-line rule,” Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch wrote in a brief to the court.
The case has the potential to overturn the major case and protect the rights of the unborn.
“This is the most important abortion related case in years. We are long overdue for the SCOTUS to revisit Roe v. Wade & PP v. Casey—cases that have led to the death of over 60 million innocent children & led many women & men to lifelong regret,” said Lila Rose, founder of the pro-life group Live Action.
