Gamestop CFO Resigns Just Weeks After Stock Craze

The Chief Financial Officer of Gamestop is leaving his post. Jim Bell is resigning as CFO just weeks after a social media stock craze that saw his company’s stock price reach insane heights. The stock later plummeted in value.

Bell will leave the company at the end of next month.

The company has not provided a reason for his departure but praised his “significant contributions and leadership, including his efforts during the past year during the Covid-19 pandemic.”
