Hillary Clinton Speaks Out on Validity of Presidential Election

The legitimacy of the latest presidential election has been a hot topic of debate for months.

A new voice is now weighing in, though it’s not clear if anyone is listening.

“We never thought we had to worry about domestic enemies,” Clinton said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“We never thought we had to worry about people who didn’t believe in our democracy, and sadly, what we’ve seen over the last four years and particularly since the election is that we have people in our own country who are doing Putin’s work,” she continues.

Clinton argued that anyone questioning the results of the 2020 election is essentially helping Putin.

Her comments came as President Joe Biden met today with Russia’s leader, Vladimir Putin. Biden has spent recent days meeting with several world leaders and negotiating international agreements.

“They are doing his work to sow distrust, to sow divisiveness, to give aid and comfort to those in our country who, for whatever reason, are being not only disruptive but very dangerous,” Clinton said. “I think Biden knows he has to work on both fronts. We have problems here at home.”

Clinton went on to say that Republicans are flirting with Putin’s authoritarianism.

“There has been … a big flirtation by some on the right in the Republican Party with the Putin model,” Clinton said. “They really resonate to the authoritarianism. They find that kind of macho approach to everything quite attractive.”
