“It is about power,” Elder said. “It’s about telling white people that you are systemically oppressors, and that Democrats are the party of social justice, and pull that levers for us.

Elder said the attacks against him have made him “the black face of white supremacy.”
“The civil rights movement has gone from a righteous movement for civil rights to a nonrighteous movement for equal results and all sorts of other things that have nothing to do with civil rights,” he said.
