Lebron James Deletes His Post Saying “You’re Next” To Columbus Police Office

Lebron James took down an earlier tweet he posted of a photo of a police officer at the scene where Ma’Khia Bryant was shot in which he wrote, “You’re next.”

The NBA has not said whether he will be reprimanded, but the backlash against the superstar athlete has been intense.

16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant was shot by a Columbus police officer on Tuesday. Bodycam video released by the police department late Tuesday showed Bryant being shot as she attacking another teen with a knife.

The Lakers star suggested that the Columbus shooting would be viewed similar to how the public viewed Derek Chauvin over the death of George Floyd.

“YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY,” wrote the NBA star with an hourglass emoji over an image of one of the officers at the scene of the Bryant shooting.
