Liberal Newspaper Calls Out Biden For ‘Moral Disaster’ in Afghanistan

President Joe Biden has taken more criticism in recent days than any other point in his career over his botched and deadly handling of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

Now, even Billionaire Jeff Bezos’ liberal newspaper, the Washington Post, published a headline roasting Biden.

The headline reads: “America is leaving thousands of people behind in Afghanistan. This is a moral disaster.”

The word “disaster” has been thrown around a lot for Biden’s handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, but now even the liberal media is piling on.

“As security worsened in the wake of a horrific terrorist attack at the airport last Thursday, and as U.S. troops prepared for their own departure on Monday, time and space ran out for these people,” wrote the Washington Post editorial board. “This is a moral disaster, one attributable not to the actions of military and diplomatic personnel in Kabul – who have been courageous and professional, in the face of deadly dangers – but to mistakes, strategic and tactical, by Mr. Biden and his administration.”

The comments come after the death of 13 U.S. service members and even more Afghan civilians, not to mention the Americans left behind because they couldn’t get through the Taliban perimeter to the airport.

From the Post:

Those left behind appear to include many local journalists who worked for U.S.-supported media such as the Afghan service of RFE/RL. Painfully emblematic, too, is the experience of the American University of Afghanistan, all but a few of whose roughly 4,000 students, faculty, alumni and employees remain in Kabul. …Now, university officials tell us, these — mostly young — Afghans are back in Kabul, feeling abandoned and afraid.
