“That’s a decision I’m going to make in the coming months,” Cheney told The Today Show. “It is something I’m thinking about.”
Cheney’s loss by 37 points to Harriet Hageman was largely attributed to Cheney’s push for former President Donald Trump’s impeachment. She echoed her opposition to the former president in her Today Show interview after her loss.
“I believe that Donald Trump continues to pose a very grave threat and risk to our republic,” she said on the show. “And I think that defeating him is going to require a broad and united front of Republicans, Democrats and independents, and that’s what I intend to be a part of.”
Cheney’s loss and potential presidential run sparked pushback on Twitter.
Liz Cheney compared herself to Abraham Lincoln last night in her concession speech.
Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves from the Democrats, he didn’t become a slave to the Democrats.

GOP hatred for Liz Cheney is not a “Trump Cult.” She’s gone because she was aiding the Dems in a shameless attempt to pin Jan 6 on every single Republican voter. NOBODY is okay w/ Jan 6 – NOBODY. We just don’t wanna pay the bill for what a bunch of maniacs & Feds did that day.

Woke up to see that with all the votes in, @Liz_Cheney lost by almost 40 pts last night. That’s gonna leave a mark.

The actual reason Liz Cheney hates Donald Trump is because she was raised with delusions of grandeur that she would one day be president and watched as Trump completely turned the GOP base away from her family’s neocon dynasty and to a future of putting America First.
