Poll: Voters Are Unimpressed With Biden’s Ukraine Response

President Joe Biden’s response to the Ukraine crisis has been less than satisfactory for American voters.

Rasmussen released new polling data Thursday showing that the majority of voters say his response has been “ineffective.”

“Most voters don’t think President Joe Biden has effectively responded to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and don’t believe economic sanctions will be enough to stop the Russian aggression,” Rasmussen said.

Only 21% say Biden has been “very effective.”

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 40% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Biden’s response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been effective so far, including 21% who think Biden’s response has been Very Effective,” Rasmussen said. “Fifty-four percent (54%) don’t think Biden’s response to the Russian invasion has been effective, including 30% who rate his response Not At All Effective.”

The poll comes as Russia continues to kill civilians, and take new territory in Ukraine. New media reports also suggest China is working more closely with Russia than many had thought.

Biden spoke on Ukraine during his State of the Union address, but his speech received lackluster response.

“Vladimir Putin’s latest attack on Ukraine was premeditated and unprovoked. He’s rejected repeated efforts at diplomacy,” Biden said in his speech. “He thought the West and NATO wouldn’t respond. He thought he could divide us at home. But he was wrong. We were ready.”

According to voters, we were not ready enough.
