Markets traded higher in Wednesday’s session as investors recognized the potential for greater fiscal stimulus from Washington.
Amid expectations of a Georgia win by Dems, the Dow moved up 603 points by early afternoon, a gain of nearly 2% to 31,000 as the S&P jumped up 54 points and the NASDAQ Composite Index gained 81.
In the bond markets, the yield on the landmark 10-year U.S. rose more than 1% for the first time since March of 2020.
