Travel and accommodation stocks surged on pandemic news. Hotel firm Las Vegas Sands surged more than 3% in premarket trading. Cruisliners Carnival Corp and Norwegian Cruise rose together with airliners American Airlines and Delta.
Shares of vaccine company Novavax were up in premarket trading. The company shared its findings on the efficacy of its vaccine against the Omicron variant.
