MSNBC Host Joy Reid is in hot water again, and Trish Regan is breaking it all down on her podcast.
“MSNBC may have itself a little ‘Joy’ problem,” Trish Regan said on the podcast. “You’re not going to believe what this anchor said.”
So what did she say?
Reid is in the news for calling Elon Musk, who is on the verge of closing a deal to buy Twitter, a racist.
In fact, Trish Regan predicted that this would probably happen because, as she explained, it is a “go-to” move in the standard liberal playbook.
“This MSNBC anchor who was on her program, quite distressed of course, that Twitter is no longer going to be in the control of certain elitists that want to advance certain narratives and so she said:
Elon Musk’s companies have a history of open racism. You know, there has been this lawsuit against Tesla, and he himself is a troll So this idea of freedom means freedom to be a jerk and be cruel and to have no one be able to stop you…”
Reid went on to say that Musk misses apartheid South Africa. Trish Regan, though, pointed out Musk’s love for free speech would make him fine with Ms. Reid speaking her mind, even if her comments are ridiculous.
“Wow, that is some really aggressive language, but you know what, I think Elon would actually be fine with it,” Trish Regan said. “He may not choose to watch her…but she can say it, as long as her employer is ok with it…which is why I do think MSNBC has a Joy problem…It’s sort of amazing that the woman is there at the institution…”
Twitter users blasted Reid for the comments as well.
If you’re concerned Musk will allow unfettered lying, misinformation, name calling, and libel on this platform, maybe it’s best not to make this point when…engaging in that *exact behavior* https://t.co/CaOvP9KRYf
