Former President Trump ripped his critics in the media again this weekend, including Chris Wallace of Fox News.
And this time, he did so while on Fox News.
Speaking to acclaimed anchor Maria Bartiromo in an interview on her program “Sunday Morning Futures” Trump claimed that Wallace didn’t let him to ask questions about Hunter Biden’s Russian dealings during the 2020 presidential debates.
“Your friend Chris Wallace would not let me ask that question,” he told Bartiromo, referring to questions about Hunter Biden’s alleged influence. “He said, ‘that’s irrelevant.’ Well, it’s not irrelevant. But the beauty of it all is he’s going to get a half a million dollars a painting, and he’s never painted before. This is just a payoff…” (He was referring to Hunter Biden’s newly found career as an artist.)
Trump then expanded into criticism of Chris Wallace, a Fox News anchor and a moderator in one of the 2020 presidential debates. Wallace is a registered Democrat and a host of Fox News Sunday. In 2019, Wallace won Fox News’s first Emmy nomination for his interview with Vladimir Putin.
Throughout the Trump era, Wallace has repeatedly come under fire by conservatives who have accused him of liberal bias against Trump.
