Trump Responds To News He Won’t Be Charged in New York DA’s Case: “Continuation of Witch Hunt”

The former President of the United States had some choice words for the New York prosecutors who he claims ‘failed’ to find a crime again him and wasted ‘millions of taxpayer funds’ amid news that he will not be charged in the Manhattan District Attorney’s first indictments.

In a statement following the news of the alleged indictment, Trump called the investigation into him and his company ‘a continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt of all time.’

According to Trump, “These Witch Hunters are relentlessly seeking to destroy a reputation of a President who has done a great job for this Country, including tax and regulation cuts, Border control, rebuilding the military, and developing the vaccine in record time.”

Charges against the Trump Organization are expected to be filed either this week or next. Per the New York Times, the charges are expected to be related to additional, and perhaps, illegal benefits afforded to the company’s chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg.
