“Our communication around our actions on the @nypost article was not great. And blocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we’re blocking: unacceptable,” said Jack Dorsey, the founder, and CEO of Twitter.
His reaction came hours after major complaints showed that individuals sharing links to the New York Post report, both publicly and via direct messages, were blocked for doing so with no explanation.

The tech giant claimed it took action against the article due to the company’s “Hacked Materials Policy.” Twitter is blocking the post from being shared on its platform.
“In line with our Hacked Materials Policy, as well as our approach to blocking URLs, we are taking action to block any links to or images of the material in question on Twitter,” a spokesperson said to Fox News.
After the New York Post report, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is investigating the newly released emails, Fox News reported.
Critics have long alleged that Hunter Biden leveraged his father’s position in the Obama administration to enrich himself. Joe Biden addressed this during the first presidential debate, saying “my son did nothing wrong at Burisma. He doesn’t want to let me answer because he knows I have the truth.”

Rep. Ken Buck, sent a letter to the Department of Justice asking that it look into the censorship tactics employed by Twitter. ‘I urge the DOJ to open an investigation into Twitter and Facebook’s harmful actions to censor free speech and curtail Americans’ access to a free press,’ Buck wrote.
“I write to express my concerns regarding Twitter and Facebook’s recent actions to censor a prominent American news outlet,” Buck began. “These actions violate the platform’s immunity under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and threaten to chill free speech throughout our nation.”

Noah Manskar, a NY Post business reporter said in a tweet on Wednesday that the official twitter account of the Post was “locked because the Hunter Biden stories violate its rules against “distribution of hacked material,” per email we received from Twitter”
