Six people were arrested in Columbus Circle, near the New York Central Park, as protesters gathered in the square, defacing monuments with anti-police graffiti, police said.
A crowd gathered at Columbus Circle in protest of the shooting of a 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant, who was shot by the police officer after apparently attempting to stab another woman with a knife. The protestors defaced the USS Maine National Monument at a gateway to Central Park.

Between 250 and 300 protesters are marching West on Christopher St. from Stonewall.
They carry a banner that reads “Justice for Ma’Khia Bryant.”
Bryant, 16, was shot by police in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the police presence was heavy in Albany, NY, where 8 people were arrested in protests on Tuesday night.

In Portland, police have reported people damaging property downtown Portland, warning vandals that they will be arrested.
