White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre went after several Republicans recently, and it’s making headlines.

She defended Biden’s highly controversial comments comparing Republicans to fascists.
“The President thinks that there is an extremist threat to our democracy,” Jean-Pierre said. “The way that he sees it, the MAGA Republicans are the most energized part of the Republican Party.”
She specifically called out several Republicans, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“You have representative Paul Gosar, he’s posted videos depicting him attacking the President and members of Congress,” she said.
She also referred to a joke DeSantis made about Anthony Fauci, saying he was calling for violence.

Jean-Pierre has been criticized for these and other remarks during months of confusing or outright false answers at press briefings.
Karine Jean-Pierre’s statement is so foul that she ought to resign — and should, rather than carry the awful, false and inflammatory message that half of Americans are enemies of democracy — but in this case she’s saying exactly what her boss, and his handlers, believe about us https://t.co/5bO9ynIPys

And don’t forget, while KJP lectures us about “threats to democracy,” she’s claimed, without evidence, the 2016 presidential and 2018 Georgia governor’s race were “stolen.”
But as @redsteeze points out, the press has never pushed her on it. https://t.co/mKxyBcNYT7
