Would You Date A Democrat? Poll Shows Dems Won’t Date Trump Supporters

Newly released polling data showed that 71% of Democrats in college are unwilling to date a Trump supporter.

The poll showed the stark partisanship in the next generation, something Trish Regan weighed in on the issue on her latest podcast.

“Would you be willing to date a Democrat or a Democrat? Be willing to date a Republican? According to a new survey. Seventy one percent of young Democrats say they would not date a Republican,” Trish Regan said. “Now, nearly 40 percent say they wouldn’t even be friends with a Republican. And then a whole bunch of them don’t even want to do business with anybody who is a Republican. I mean, what the heck is wrong with our society when this is what it’s coming to? Thirty one percent of Republicans say they wouldn’t dare to Democrat.”

The Generation Lab/Axios poll showed 30% of Democrats surveyed said they would not work for somebody who voted differently than them, compared to 7% of Republicans.

The poll found Republican college students were more tolerant of others political beliefs.

“You know, I think that’s just so fundamentally wrong. I mean, granted, at least give the Republicans this. Only thirty one percent of young college Republicans say they wouldn’t date a Democrat, compared to seventy one percent of young Democrats saying they wouldn’t date a Republican. What’s going on here?”
