Yet ANOTHER Blue State Could Turn Red

New polling shows that yet another blue state is in danger of turning red.

New polling data first reported by the Washington Examiner shows Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nevada, only has a slight lead over her Republican challenger.

Republican Adam Laxalt is only two percentage points behind in the race. He is a former Iraq War veteran and served as the attorney general for the state of Nevada.

“Internal polling from September shows that this has quickly become a very tight race,” read a polling memo from Laxalt’s campaign. “With each passing day of the Biden presidency, the environment gets better for Republicans.”

Democrats are taking a dive in the polls over series of issues, including the deadly Afghanistan withdrawal, the crisis at the southern border, and the proposed tax hikes and federal debt spending being debated in Congress.

These policies are affecting the polls and giving Republicans a chance to win in states normally considered Democratic.

This poll comes after other polls showed two other blue states that could also turn red.

“Former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) and Republican nominee Glenn Youngkin remain locked in a tight contest for governor of Virginia, a University of Mary Washington statewide survey shows,” the University said. “The poll, conducted by Research America Inc. Sept. 7-13, included 1,000 Virginia adults. Of those, 885 were registered voters and 528 were likely voters. Among likely voters, 48 percent favored Youngkin and 43 percent backed McAuliffe. Liberation Party candidate Princess Blanding received the support of 2 percent of likely voters, with others undecided.”

That poll marks a major change in the race, where the Democrat has so far been considered the likely winner by a large margin.

Meanwhile, a different poll in reliably blue Virginia reported that 51% of voters disapprove of Biden’s job performance. Republican Glenn Youngkin plans to ride that sentiment to help unseat Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe, an already tight race.

“Terry McAuliffe is pushing a Green New Deal-style plan that will make your energy bills more expensive,” Youngkin said. “We just can’t afford another 4 more years under McAuliffe.”
